O.C. Parks Improvement Planning Project

The goal of this planning effort is to create an action plan for restoring and improving the parks of Orange County with the purpose of preserving and improving natural resources and wildlife habitat and enhancing recreational facilities and gathering places for families, social groups and individuals of all ages and abilities.

This effort will be focused on the following parks:
• Claiborne West Park • Gould Walking Park
• Bluebird Fish Camp • Baileys Fish Camp

Public outreach and communication will occur through a number of outlets, including public open houses, news media, the Orange County Parks website and social media.

Orange County Parks serve many people by enhancing connections to nature and recreational experiences while providing habitat for wildlife. This planning process will aim to balance the needs of the community with providing safe and accessible public spaces among natural systems.

Additional Charges Affect Purchase Price

Delivery, shipping, handling and transportation charges are part of the sales price. If the emergency preparation supply being purchased is taxable, the delivery charge is also taxable. Consider these charges when determining whether an emergency preparation supply can be purchased tax free during the holiday.

For example, you purchase a rescue ladder for $299 with a $10 delivery charge, for a total sales price of $309. Because the total sales price of the ladder is more than $300, tax is due on the $309 sales price.
