Invitation To Bid

The City of Vidor ("City") is requesting a bid from qualified bidders for the grounds maintenance for the City.

Generally, the services to be performed under this contract pertain only to lawn (turf) care; tree, shrub and ground cover care; and fall leaf removal. Bidders must provide the City with the following: (1) an insurance statement showing proof of being bonded, general liability, and if necessary, proof of workers' compensation insurance (as detailed in the bid packet); (2) Conflict of Interest Questionnaire; (3) three references (preferably customers); and (4) a written statement regarding lawn maintenance experience. Upon award of the contract, the winning bidder must complete a Certificate of Interested Parties, Form 1295.

Bid packets (with the above information) can be picked up at Vidor City Hall, 1395 North Main, Vidor, Texas. Interested bidders should contact the City Manager, Michael Kunst, at 769-5473 or mkunst@cityofvidor.com with any questions.

Sealed bids will be received until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Vidor City Hall, 1395 North Main Street, Vidor, Texas. Any bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Immediately following the closing time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Following a review by the selection committee, a recommendation of a bid that is the best value for the City of Vidor will be presented to the City Council for approval at the regularly scheduled Council meeting on February 28, 2019, at 7:00 p.m.
