JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the City financial operations, administration of the daily business for Administration and Municipal Court Department, and supervision of employees. Directly oversees general accounting, accounts payable, cash management, customer services, investments as directed by finance committee, accounts receivable, builds a team-oriented relationship with other City department supervisors and the City Manager. Please see attached Job Description for additional duties and responsibilities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in HR and 5 years’ experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university with major course work in accounting preferred; current Certified Public Accountant license preferred. A minimum of five (5) year’s experience in public sector finance administration is preferred, of which three (3) years is at a management level. Two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
