Notice Of Comment Period On CDBG-DR Application For Infrastructure


The City of Vidor DR-4332 CDBG-DR Infrastructure Program application is now available for review at City Hall, 1395 N. Main St., Vidor, TX between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this CDBG-DR application and to make their views known by presenting their opinions, comments, and suggestions to Mike Kunst, City Manager, City Hall, 1395 N. Main St., Vidor, Texas during regular business hours. Written comments must be received at City Hall by 5:00 p.m. on July 10, 2019 to be considered. Notice Of Comment Period On CDBG-DR Grant Application For Housing


​The City of Vidor, Texas, is requesting public comment in regard to the submission of two (2) applications to the Texas General Land Office (GLO) for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds associated to Hurricane Harvey recovery. The applications for proposed Buyout and Acquisition programs will allow the City to utilize the following allocation prescribed by the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) for long-term disaster recovery efforts:

1. Local Buyout and Acquisition Program: $2,572,057.29

The City will request public comments for thirty (30) days from the date of this publication/posting. Public comments will be accepted until Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Copies of the applications will be available for public review at Vidor City Hall located at 1395 North Main Street, Vidor, Texas. The public is encouraged to submit comments that will assist the City in defining and evaluating projects that will mitigate the devastating effects of natural disasters as well as ensure the projects are in line with environmental regulations, affirmatively further fair housing activities, and, if applicable, minimize displacement of persons by project activities. Comments should address proposed housing needs that can be directly tied to damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.


Upon the expiration of this comment period the City will review and address the public comments in the proposed
applications.
