City Of Vidor PoliceOn Behalf of the men and women of the Vidor Police Department, I would like to personally welcome you to the website of the Vidor Police Department.

The men and women of the Vidor Police department are dedicated, well trained professionals who serve our community day and night, often times placing themselves in harm’s way to protect this great community. I am proud of our sworn officers and civilian support staff that serve diligently with servant hearts and give of themselves daily to protect and serve our families.

We would be unable to accomplish our task without the support and partnerships that we have within our community. City Of Vidor Texas - Police ExplorersLaw Enforcement Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women 15 through 20 years old, interested in a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.

The program offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism.


APPLICATION PROCESS INSTRUCTIONS
Please complete the pdf attached application . Prior to admittance into the organization, you will need to submit the following:
  • COPY of your driver’s license and Social Security Card
  • COPY of your most current grades (or Highschool diploma)
  • COMPLETED Medical History

The Criminal Trespass Affidavit Program allows property owners or those responsible for the property and the Vidor Police Department to work together to reduce criminal activity on private property. The Vidor Police Department is authorized by the owners / managers to remove or arrest persons found on the property when they are not authorized to be there. An individual arrested for trespassing will be charged with a violation of the Texas Penal Code Sec. 30.05, Criminal Trespass or Vidor Municipal Code, Chapter 46, Criminal Trespass. The property owner / manager will be the person formally filing the criminal complaint against the violator(s). 

To initiate the program, you, as the property owner or property owner’s agent, must complete these steps:

Step 1: Complete the document entitled: “ pdf Criminal Trespass Affidavit Program Participation Form ”.

Step 2: Complete the document entitled “ pdf Criminal Trespass Affidavit ”.

Step 3: Complete the document entitled “ pdf Authorization List ”.

Step 4: Return the signed forms to:

Step 5: Post appropriate “No Trespassing” or “No Trespassing between Designated Times”, signs in prominent locations around your property. Wording Samples (pdfs) "Private Property" "Customers Only"

By participating in this program, Vidor Police Officers will check your property during the normal course of patrolling or while answering a call for police service at the location. Please understand that this does not mean that an officer will be available to check your property on a regular basis. Rather, officers will check the property as time and resources allow.
