Applications Available for Review

The City of Vidor 2019 Floods CDBG-DR applications are now available for review at City Hall, 1395 N. Main St., Vidor, Texas between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this application and to make their views known by presenting their opinions, comments, and suggestions to Robbie Hood, City Manager, 1395 N. Main St., Vidor, Texas during regular business hours. Written comments must be received at City Hall by 5:00 p.m. on July 27, 2022 to be considered. For additional information, please contact City Hall at 409-758-5473 or the grant administrator for the project, Melinda Smith, at 903-581-0500 ext. 219.

CDBG-DR APPLICATION PROJECT SUMMARY

STREET/DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS – ORANGE ST

Project Description:

During Tropical Storm Imelda, the City of Vidor received over 2 feet of rainfall. Widespread flooding led to flooding of streets and overflow of drainage structures, causing environmental hazards and other threats to public health and safety. Roads were impassable and many high water rescues were required.

The proposed improvements will reduce a risk to public health and safety caused by the damaged streets and drainage ditches.

Construction will consist of street reconstruction and regrading of ditches on Orange Street from Woodland St. to Sargent St.

Happy Independence Day!!


In observance of Independence Day, Vidor City Hall will be closed Monday July 4, 2022.

Anyone needing to make a payment to either the Vidor Sanitation Department or the Vidor Municipal Court may use the appropriate drop box located in the rear parking lot of Vidor City Hall Building. 

The Vidor Sanitation Department will run as scheduled. Customers are advised to have their cans out by 6:00a.m.

Pirate Ship Build Weekend June 11-12, 2022


What a GREAT build weekend.  We did not complete the project just yet, however we will be back to finish soon!!
